| Most business can be done by phone
For years, I have been writing things like, "just go online," and "check out our online services at www.socialsecurity.gov." In the back of my mind, I have always known that not everybody has or wants to use the Internet for their Social Security business. Of course, we do encourage people to avail themselves of the services and information offered at www.socialsecurity.gov. .
Ram and the Art of Extra-Terrestrial Poker
Last week I had the pleasure of playing on TalkSport and 888.com's freeroll as a bounty player, which was a delight because it was a "win-win" (a very sad PR phrase) situation. Although I am not a pro poker player, I am a poker pro and was indeed being paid to play this freeroll. I had made it in my own tiny little way! I was indeed a sponsored player. I was proud to say I came 15th out of 999 players, to qualify for the final to win a seat at the 888.com UK Poker Open. Great! The point is, my job is one big poker game itself. He was well versed in the legalities of the industry and received multiple awards for surpassing his sales' goals. One of his top producers decided he should get compensated for doing business with the young man's company. Of course this type of compensation is illegal and unethical. The producer actually put his desire in writing. Once the young man received this letter, he took it directly to his manager. His manager says, "Look, this stuff happens.
