| Orso's Suing For Defamation Over Website
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Two websites, with two very similar names, have two very different opinions about the work done at a Syracuse auto body shop. The owner of Nick Orso's Body Shop says a disgruntled customer is trying to ruin his good name, so he's going to court, suing for defamation and the case going before a federal judge. Nickorso.com is the body shop's website, nickorso.net is a site that a former customer has created, bashing the body shop for work that was done on his vehicle. Owner Mike Orso says what's on the site is untrue, his customers are seeing it when they search for his website, and he's suing to have it shut down. “It's my father's name, it's been a 50 year staple in this community." But everyone's got the opportunity to say what they think of a business in person or online, freedom of speech, right? That's not what Orso's lawyers are telling him.
Overview of SBP Q2 report for FY07
KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan here on Friday released second quarterly report for FY07 entitled "The State of Pakistans Economy". Following is the text of overview and executive summary. Overview Midway through the fiscal year, available information suggests that real GDP growth during FY07 will remain close to the 7 percent annual target, despite some setbacks suffered by the commodity producing sub-sectors. Despite the underperformance of key kharif crops, a bumper wheat harvest and indications of strong outturn by the livestock sub-sector offer hopes of a recovery. Similarly, while data constraints inhibit a more robust forecast, the limited data set available suggests that industrial performance will also improve. Finally, the services sector, which pushed up GDP growth in the preceding years, is also expected to remain strong in FY07.
The paths less travelled
Six years ago I was convinced that I was destined for medical school. Four years ago, after taking economics, I changed my mind completely. I first heard about Schulich from my father of all sources who at the time was looking for a place to do his MBA. I read somewhere online that some 97-98% of Schulich students get full-time jobs after they graduate, with an average salary well exceeding $50,000. It certainly sounded good to me at the time. However, two years ago I changed my mind again. I wrote the LSAT and now, come September, I will be attending law school. Most of my peers will be starting full-time work in the spring or fall. Feeling somewhat left out, I began to wonder how many other Schulich graduates were in my position. While the Career Development Centre does not track the number of students who pursue graduate education after the completion of an i/BBA, the placement percentage of Schulich graduates was 88%.

Entrepreneurs Experiment With Ways to Profit From Web Site ...
The standard Internet advertisement is so familiar that most people tune it out: a billboard stripped across the top of a Web site, waiting for consumers to surf by and maybe click on it. Now a young generation of online-ad creators are pushing a newer idea: putting a brand on a mini-site so fun or useful -- a video game or a spruced-up calculator or a live sports update -- that people download it, paste it on their personal blogs or social networking sites, use it again and again and share it with friends. .
