| Orso's Suing For Defamation Over Website
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Two websites, with two very similar names, have two very different opinions about the work done at a Syracuse auto body shop. The owner of Nick Orso's Body Shop says a disgruntled customer is trying to ruin his good name, so he's going to court, suing for defamation and the case going before a federal judge. Nickorso.com is the body shop's website, nickorso.net is a site that a former customer has created, bashing the body shop for work that was done on his vehicle. Owner Mike Orso says what's on the site is untrue, his customers are seeing it when they search for his website, and he's suing to have it shut down. “It's my father's name, it's been a 50 year staple in this community." But everyone's got the opportunity to say what they think of a business in person or online, freedom of speech, right? That's not what Orso's lawyers are telling him.
